MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR STAY

Whether you want to put on your walking boots, hop on your bike, or choose to just relax and take in the views, Friends Farm is the perfect spot.

On the edge of the Waveney Valley near the Norfolk/Suffolk border, the peaceful village of Alburgh is an ideal location for walkers and runners, birdwatchers and artists, cyclists, or those looking to just escape the city for a bit of fresh air.

Harleston and Bungay are the nearest small towns with independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. A bit further afield are Diss, Beccles (the start of the Norfolk Broads), Halesworth, Framlingham (with its famous castle) and the historic county town of Norwich just half an hour away.

There are beautiful beaches all along the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, many of which are so quiet you'll sometimes find that you are the only ones there. The seaside town of Southwold is a 40 minute drive away, and seals can often be seen at Horsey Gap near Great Yarmouth and at Blakeney Point on the North Norfolk coast.
