Self-Catering Shepherds Hut at Friends Farm
Shepherds View is the first of two luxury self-catering shepherds huts set on our own working smallholding in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. On the edge of the Waveney Valley, it is an ideal location for birdwatchers, walkers, runners, cyclists, artists or those who choose to just relax and take in the views.
Available to rent throughout the year, it boasts a woodburning stove and double glazing to make your stay warm and cosy. On arrival you will find home produced eggs, bacon and prize winning sausages in the fridge ready for your first breakfast (more available to purchase from the farm).
About the hut
The 5.5 x 2.4 meter hut is tastefully decorated, with a fully fitted bespoke kitchen with dishwasher, microwave/combi oven, fridge, sink, hob, crockery and cutlery. There is a log burner with logs included, double glazing and insulation throughout to keep you warm and cosy, whatever the weather.
The comfortable 4'6" double bed easily folds up into the wall with all the bed linen in place, to give plenty of daytime space. The en suite bathroom includes mains toilet, basin and shower with plenty of hot water.
Outside there is a deck with bistro table and chairs, to relax and enjoy the views across the countryside, boasting the most amazing sunsets!
You have use of the entire shepherds hut, and shared use of the small paddock where the huts are situated. It overlooks the surrounding fields with sheep, horses, pigs and chickens.
Other things to note…
The huts are set in a small secure paddock away from livestock, however it is a working farm, so inevitably there is going to be day to day work carried out close by. We try our hardest to cause minimum disruption when guests are present.
Due to farm safety, we are unable to welcome children or pets to stay.
However, if you bring your own travel cot, infants under 2 years old are welcome
No smoking, please.
